The Orchestra da Tre Soldi offers a refined and engaging show resulting from the musical research of Massimiliano Gilli, Matteo Castellan and Gianni Gilli. The proposed pieces range from the suggestions of North American jazz music of the years 50/60, ai valse French musettes of the early twentieth century, passing through the South America of Jobim and Paquito d'Rivera up to the rhythmic folklore of gypsy and Central European music. The show offers a preview of some of the songs that will be published in the group's third release. Cultured music, jazz languages and popular sounds go beyond their stylistic boundaries projecting themselves into the world of global culture. The elimination of classifications between genres and styles is the compositional brand that characterizes the decennial activity of the Orchestra da Tre Soldi. The Orchestra's pieces are broadcast by RADIO TRE RAI and by numerous other Italian networks. The radio show "Reteduecinque" of Radio Svizzera Italiana dedicated the episode of 14/08/2017 at the Tre Soldi Orchestra. Numerous criticisms in specialized journals and national newspapers: Jazz IT, Jazz Magazine, The print, La Repubblica.
Training
The Three Soldi Orchestra is made up of classically trained and jazz musicians, with record publications and important collaborations (Teatro Regio di Torino, Pomeriggi Musicali di Milano, RAI National Symphony Orchestra, Sanremo Symphony Orchestra, Gabriele Mirabassi, Osiris Band, Ezio Bosso, PFM, Sonia Bergamasco, ..)
